BBQ House, Victoria St in Richmond

For a long I'd frequented Pacific House on Victoria Street in Richmond, and on New Year's Eve 2007 I arrived for a late meal around 10pm. I was greeted with "too late, we're closing soon, you're too late, no table, no food, please go". So I wandered a few doors down to BBQ House where I was greeted with "ah, we're closing soon, please come in, sit down, what would you like? how can I help?" And since then BBQ House has become my favourite.

Tonight in a small group we had another happy meal:
  • Complimentary soup - tonight's was a duck soup
  • Roast platter - pork and duck
  • Prawn friend rice
  • Salt & pepper calamari (the S&P calamari is consistently excellent - highly recommended)
  • T-bone steak in honey pepper sauce
  • Chinese spinach with pork and mushroom
