Smokers

I flew out of MUC this morning and spent a few minutes wandering through a shop before boarding. The cigarettes caught my eye and, more particularly, this guy who was making a selection. I guess I can understand how someone would have started smoking years ago, in the absence of warnings. But now the warnings are clear. They're unavoidable. They're confronting. Check it out...



So why is it people ignore them? The addiction is that strong? Or the brain gets re-wired? How come this sort of advertising has minimal effect?
