Toldeo

The old part of Toledo dates back to the Visigoths and 700AD. Today, it’s pretty much like any other old city in Spain – narrow streets, lots of people smoking and plenty of tourist traps. About the only reason to visit Toledo is to check out the work of El Greco. You can tour the cathedral if you like and it will cost you EUR7 (the Catholic Church prefers making money to opening its doors to the people, it would seem) but you can see better elsewhere. Here’s the cathedral as seen from our hotel.
